Now I have decided on my image I will use for my tattoo design, I throw the design over to photoshop to tweak lighting, saturation etc. I isolate the figure so it makes it easier to add foreground/background without the rest of image getting in view.
I find Photoshop a great tool to use when editing tattoo ideas. I already had a vague idea of what I wanted so instead of just stencilling up the design and running with it and coming out with a bad tattoo, I prepared rough idea's using Photoshop.
Rather than go with the typical portrait and throw a couple of roses around it, I have added Autumn leaves to bring down the tones a little, I don't want anything to over the top vibrant.
