Working on Colour Statue Piece (PART 1)

I went through a handful of photographs I had taken in Liverpool, I chose one which I thought had a good light contrast and good angle.





















I chose this statue of Charles Dickens, this is my own material to work from.
A common thing I find with a lot of tattooists is that there is a lot of copy and replicate.Since the use of flash and the internet, people automatically use these resources as their only way to put together a good tattoo. Inspired from artists like Jun Cha, i'd much rather go out and photograph my own reference material, that way I find it personalises the tattoo a little more, using my own source material allows me much more freedom with the design, since I could photograph different angles, change light effects. etc.
